Chelsea COLLINS – Drunk Driving

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – The public continues to assist police with locating impaired drivers.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, around 9:30 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to traffic complaint in Picton where a member of the public suspected that a driver was impaired.

Officers located the vehicle and an approved roadside alcohol screening device was utilized on the driver. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Chelsea COLLINS, age 34 of Picton, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 30, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

More Impaired Drivers – BANVILLE, WATSON & STYLES

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in 3 more impaired driving investigations.

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers were conducting a RIDE program on Loyalist Parkway, where an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized, resulting in the arrest of a novice driver for being impaired. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Hannah BANVILLE, age 23, from Carrying Place, was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Novice Driver – B.A.C above zero

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., a traffic stop on the 401 led to an investigation where an ASD was used, resulting in the arrest of the driver for being impaired as well as other offences. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Giovanni WATSON, age 28, from Bowmanville was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding 1-49 Km/h over posted speed limit.
  • Driver – fail to properly wear seat belt.
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Officers with the Quinte West OPP, investigated a collision leading to suspect a motorist may have been under the influence of alcohol.

With the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Unit and OPP Canine Unit, the driver was arrested and transported to the Quinte West Detachment for testing, resulting in charges being laid.

Becky STYLES, age 54, from Carrying Place, was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Fail to report accident

All the accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on July 31, 2025. Additionally, the vehicles they were operating were impounded for seven days, and their licences suspended for 90 days.

Christopher POLCZ – Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP, ON)- An officer conducting speed enforcement on Highway 400 entered into an impaired driving investigation early this morning after stopping a vehicle for a speeding offence on Highway 400.

At approximately 7:34 a.m. July 10, 2025, an officer of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped the south bound Highway 400 vehicle in Georgian Bay Township and upon speaking with the driver and quickly entered into a driving investigation which was continued at the Detachment.

Upon completion of the investigation, 36 year old Barrie resident Christopher POLCZ has been charged with the following criminal driving offences of –

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

And further with the following Provincial Offence

  • Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit

The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  on July 24, 2025, and was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension. The involved vehicle was towed and subject to a 7 day vehicle impound in accordance to the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.

Nicholas SKIPPON – Dangerous Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop on Highway 401.

On July 8, 2025, at 5:10 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the Eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Dorchester Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Nicholas SKIPPON, a 26-year-old of Burlington, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

Ā·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Ā·      Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 28, 2025.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Bryhton CHESWORTH Arrested Following Collision

(COLEMAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – One driver was arrested after a single vehicle collision on Highway 11.

On Tuesday, July 1,2025 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 11 in Coleman Township. 

The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. 

As a result of an investigation, the driver, Bryhton CHESWORTH, 28 years-of-age of Englehart, was charged with 

  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Driving while under suspension – two counts
  • Driver – fail to properly wear seat beltĀ 

The vehicle was towed and impounded. 

The accused received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, on Tuesday August 5, 2025.

Darren MOIR Was Arrested

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bluewater resident with a criminal driving offence following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Bluewater on June 22nd, 2025. 

Just after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Richmond Street North in Bluewater. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that they had consumed alcohol prior to driving.

The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Darren MOIR, 59 years-of-age from Bluewater has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days, and the accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 21, 2025.

Golf Cart In Goderich Ends With Impaired Charge

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a St. Clements, Ontario resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic stop in the Town of Goderich on June 22nd, 2025. 

Just after 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, Huron County OPP officers observed a golf cart being driven with no lights activated on Victoria St. N. in Goderich.  Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver. Police discovered that the driver had consumed alcohol prior to driving, and had also been issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension the previous day after registering a “WARN” on the Approved Screening Device (ASD).

The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

David CRAIG, 40 years-of-age from St. Clements ON. has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – alcohol and drug,

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with Driving While Under Suspension – Highway Traffic Act.

The golf cart was towed and impounded for 7 days, and the accused’ driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 21, 2025.

Dorian DWYER – Drunk Driving

(PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On July 8, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. the West Parry Sound OPP received information regarding a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located and stopped; officers spoke with the driver and initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Dorian DWYER, 50 years-of-age of Carling Ontario was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on July 31, 2025. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Zoe LANGLOIS Was Arrested

(TUDOR-CASHEL TWP., ON) – A routine safety check for a boat on Mephisto Lake, in Tudor-Cashel Township, has resulted in impaired charges.

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, just before 5:00 p.m., officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting marine patrol when they stopped a small vessel with two people on board. The person at the helm did not have a Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. The investigation continued, and an approved alcohol screening device was utilized. As a result, the individual was transported back to shore and taken to the detachment for further testing.

Zoe LANGLOIS, age 23 of Ottawa, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operating a boat with open liquor
  • Operate a pleasure craft without prescribed competency

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

An approved screening device was also utilized for the individual who attended the Bancroft Detachment to pick-up the accused. That person was issued an immediate three-day licence suspension for registering in the warning range for alcohol consumption.

William MILLER – Drunk Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving on an ATV in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On June 29, 2025, shortly after 9:30 p.m., a Nottawasaga OPP officer was on general patrols when they observed an individual driving an ATV with no helmet or lights on. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver. During the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to the driver’s arrest.  

As a result of the investigation, William MILLER 40-years-old of Tottenham was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Fail to wear proper helmet

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on July 31, 2025, to answer to the charge.
